Who the fuck is Johnny Blue Skies? Not sure if Sturgill Simpson is trying to out-meme himself with the name change or maybe this is his Chris Gaines moment but he’s back after supposedly retiring from touring. This isn’t a huge leap outside or anything though the songs do feel darker with what seems like an intentional move into cosmic country territory. Either way, Sturgill is back & that’s a really good thing.

For the film “Confidenza”, an Italian language period thriller, YORKE navigates thru the waters of third stream orchestral jazz, with soft, impressionistic lyrics cutting through dynamic swells and eerie moments of calm.
