Anyone that's been frequenting record stores over the past 40 years or so has seen a Mort Garson record & possibly didn't even know it. He's most famous for his 12 album series of albums influenced by the Zodiac signs & the cult synthesizer records "Black Mass Lucifer", "Ataraxia" & the record you're holding in your hand. Inspired by his wife's green thumb, Garson was inspired to make a record to encourage her plants to grow. A fun tidbit, when it came out this record was given to customers when they bought particular plants at a store in LA or if you bought a certain mattress at Sears! Similar to Eno's ambient music & Erik Satie's "furniture music", Garson's Moog pieces create a wonderful atmosphere & the post-hippie concept of making music for plants & the environment is something that seems even more important now than in 1976. The original is one of the most requested records at our shops & we're incredibly excited to be able to stock this reissue. RECOMMENDED!
