The 2018 album "Con Todo El Mundo" by the Houston band KHRUANGBIN started out slow at the store but once it picked up, the hype started to build gradually around the band & it's become one of our best sellers of the past 2 years. Now the talented trio is back with "Mordechai", an album that should solidify them as one of the most exciting bands going right now. Using melodic elements of Middle Eastern, Thai & South American psych rock & surf & funk with a super tight rhythm section, they create timeless & infectious sounding songs. This one has a lot more singing but like the rest of the arrangements, it's efficient & no notes feel wasted. Another amazing album by KHRUANGBIN. RECOMMENDED.

CRIMSON's third release over all & second LP of 1970 LIZARD is very consciously jazz- oriented & very progressive, even compared to the two preceeding albums. The pieces are longer & have extens- ive developmental sections. The lyrics are more ornate, while the subject matter is exotic & rarified. The doom laden mood of the first two albums is just as strong, except the music is prettier; the only thing missing is a sense of humor. They left that behind on the GILES, GILES, & FRIPP LP.

KING CRIMSON in '95.. it's gotta be bad right? WRONG. This album was recorded with the "double trio" line-up. One band in each channel, riffing off each other. If you enjoyed anything at all about the 80's lineup, it's all here with somewhat of a more metallic, harsh, yet groovy Beatles-esque sound. If you're a KC fan, you owe it to yourself to pick this one up. Their last great album, IMO.
