Reckless Records 9/18/20 New Releases

9/18/20 NEW RELEASES

ARCA – &&&&& LP (Pan)

The 2013 mixtape by the Venezuelan producer has been reissued by Pan. ARCA has worked with Bjork, Kanye & Frank Ocean to name a few & has released some really strong albums since then. This is more minimal & straight-ahead than the most recent release “Kick I” but no less engaging.

SARAH DAVACHI – Cantus, Descant 2LP/2CD (Late Music) limited clear vinyl edition

The talented, prolific composer SARAH DAVACHI releases her fourth album of 2020, and first on Warp imprint Late Music, as an exploration of drone using the pipe organ. DAVACHI traveled to churches in Chicago, LA, Vancouver, Amsterdam and Copenhagen to record each of the organs within and capture their subtleties and idiosyncrasies. These compositions are adorned with minimal arrangements of piano, Mellotron, synthesizer, strings and on occasion her own voice. A fantastic drone collection that reminds us of KALI MALONE’s spartan organ music. RECOMMENDED.

DEAR NORA – Three States: Rarities 1997-2007 3LP box set (Orindal)

Vinyl reissue of the 2008 career spanning compilation CD by the Portland indie-pop group DEAR NORA led by Katy Davidson. It’s no surprise that DEAR NORA has found a new audience as bands like BEACH BUNNY, Phoebe Bridgers, JAPANESE BREAKFAST, JOYCE MANOR & so many others have become incredibly popular writing songs in a similar style. Limited & recommended.

MARTIN DENNY- Exotica LP (Jackpot) limited edition color vinyl reissue

MARTIN DENNY- Hypnotique LP (Jackpot) limited edition color vinyl reissue

MARTIN DENNY- Quiet Village LP (Jackpot) limited edition color vinyl reissue

The late 50s albums by Martin Denny, the father of the “Exotica” movement, are available once again this time on limited color vinyl on Jackpot Records. Lounge/tiki records seem to have a resurgence every 10 years or so & after Numero released their excellent “Technicolor Paradise” compilation a few years back it seemed like people were ready to dig in again. There’s a reason these records are considered classics so there’s no time like the present to get loungey! RECOMMENDED!

MJ GUIDER – Sour Cherry Bell LP/CD (Kranky)

The New Orleans musician Melissa Guion returns to Kranky as MJ GUIDER. We loved the first album & its nods to greats like COCTEAU TWINS. There are similar moments here but this one is darker & more mysterious, at times like a techno 12″ played at 33RPM & a cavernous sound at times, like standing in an alley outside a dance club at 4AM & hearing the muffled music from inside. RECOMMENDED.

MUSICA TRANSONIC – Musica Transonic LP (Black Editions)

Black Editions continues their fantastic vinyl reissue campaign with this fuzzed out classic featuring members of ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE, RUINS & HIGH RISE. Like HIGH RISE, these recordings are totally blown-out & there’s tons of furious soloing & heavy grooves. TOTALLY MIND-BLOWING & RECOMMENDED!

VALIUM AGGELEIN – Black Moon LP (Numero Group)

Right around the same time the San Jose band DUSTER recorded “Stratosphere”, they recorded this more spaced-out album under the VALIUM AGGELEIN moniker. This is in a similar slowcore style to DUSTER but more instrumental leaning & jammy. If you’re into DUSTER & stuff like BEDHEAD & Chicago’s ZELIENOPLE then you need to check this out.

RUN THE JEWELS – RTJ4 2LP/4LP DELUXE ED./CD/TAPE (BMG) on magenta vinyl or     indie only clear/pink, the 4LP deluxe is VERY LIMITED

El & Mike’s 4th LP together is putting them in the Hallowed ranks of the Greatest Hip Hop Duos in the history of the game. There’s nothing difficult to understand about the die-hard following they’ve built, or the amazing chemistry they display on these records. Both are MCs’ MCs, the kinda guys who hear a beat & tear into it like hungry bears & with El-Producto’s ability to craft some of the most bombastic, bass heavy, speaker blowing beats this side of the Bomb Squad, they find each beat here thick & juicy. Here’s a final survey for you if you’re trying to decide whether or not you want to get this record: Do you like dope rhymes? Do you like dope beats? If you answered yes, why are you still reading this? Go find the loudest set of speakers you can & crank this record!

V/A – Soul Love Now: The Black Fire Records Story 1975-1993 2LP/CD (Strut)

Absolutely bangin’ compilation from Strut, covering one of the most important black-owned independent labels in the US: D.C.’s Black Fire. Showcasing a mixture of spiritual jazz, soul, disco & African funk, Black Fire was responsible for some of the biggest grails in album collecting, including underground classics from ONENESS OF JUJU, EXPERIENCE UNLIMITED and WAYNE DAVIS. These tracks represent some of the best this label had to offer all in one place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Reckless Records 9/11/20 New Releases

9/11/20 NEW RELEASES

CRYPTIC SHIFT – Visitations From Enceladus LP (Blood Harvest)

CRYPTIC SHIFT is a self-proclaimed “astrodeath” band from the UK & this concept album about a young space traveller is one of the coolest metal albums we’ve heard in a long time. The album opens with a BONKERS 26 minute track with 6 sections. Similar to contemporary greats like BLOOD INCANTATION & TOMB MOLD, these guys are technical & proggy (complete with insane Jaco esque fretless bass) but these guys lean into the sci-fi themes even harder than BLOOD INCANTATION. Fans of 80s thrash legends VOIVOD, the above mentioned bands & VEKTOR will eat this up. One of the best metal records of 2020!

SAM PREKOP – Comma LP (Thrill Jockey) white vinyl

An interesting detour for the SEA & CAKE frontman, seeing him explore beat programming and modular synth work that makes much of the arrangement composed through chance. A wonderful record that borrows a lot from the beat experiments of the Chicago free jazz scene!

ASHA PUTHLI – Asha Puthli (Mr Bongo)

Fantastic reissue of this 1973 album by this Indian born singer who would go on to become a popular figure in the NYC Studio 54 scene. Her song “Space Talk” has been sampled by many hip-hop artists including DILATED PEOPLES & NOTORIOUS B.I.G. & she sang on Ornette Coleman’s “Science Fiction” album. This album features mostly covers & one original & the songs are a blend of soul, jazz & pop with a pretty steamy vibe all around. Fans of everything from Betty Davis to Solange to Carly Simon will love this. RECOMMENDED.

SIR JOE QUARTERMAN & FREE SOUL – Sir Joe Quarterman & Free Soul LP (Mr. Bongo)

Much appreciated reissue of this politically fueled funk masterpiece from 1973 by the D.C. based singer Sir Joe Quarterman & FREE SOUL. Heavy funk with a big horn section, some fuzz guitar solos & smart lyrics. Fans of Sly Stone, FUNKADELIC etc….will approve.

Reckless Records 9/4/20 New Releases

9/4/20 NEW RELEASES

AESOP ROCK – Float: 20 Year Anniversary Edition 2LP (Rhymesayers)   Limited blue, yellow of green vinyl

One of the classics of early 2000s hip-hop,The now legendary album “Float” by AESOP ROCK, is back in print on 3 different limited edition vinyl colors for its 20th anniversary. RECOMMENDED!

BLONDE REDHEAD – Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons: 20th anniversary LP (Touch &  Go) limited 180GRM pink vinyl with alternate cover art

How can it already be 20 years!!?? In celebration, Touch & Go has reissued a limited edition version with new cover art on pink vinyl. BLOND REDHEAD has an amazing discography but this is definitely one of our favorite ones. RECOMMENDED!

NAKED ROOMMATE – Do the Duvet (Trouble in MInd) limited cherry red vinyl

Minimal but danceable post-punk from this Berkeley based band. Very rhythmic songs with great synth production, tons of dubby delay etc…Fans of ESG, LIQUID LIQUID, Anika, BEAK> etc… will love this.

PHEW – Vertical KO LP (Disciples)

Japanese avant-garde luminary PHEW leans into minimal wave and post-punk with her 2020 release Vertical KO. Working on her own for the first time in a few years, PHEW layers vocal samples, spoken word, tumbling drum machine rhythms, murky modular synths and field recordings in one of her strongest works yet. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED experimental music from one of the best living musicians and collaborators ever to do it!

ROLLING STONES – Goats Head Soup LP/2LP/4LPdeluxe/3CDdeluxew/posters

2020 remix & half-speed master of possibly the most under appreciated ‘Stones albums, “Goats Head Soup” from 1973. Mick, Keef & the boys were always thought of as bad boys, especially compared to their rivals THE BEATLES, but we know now a lot of that was myth. But on this album the weariness of fame and the road, drug use, the fall-out of Altamont etc… seems to have creeped in & permeated these songs. There aren’t a lot of outtakes for their albums usually but this one has a decent amount including a mostly unknown track with Jimmy Page called “Scarlet” which is just bonkers if you think about it. RECOMMENDED.

OTHER IMPORTANT NEW RELEASES
BAD MOVES – Untenable LP (Don Giovanni) green vinyl

Reckless Records 8/28/20 New Releases

8/28/20 NEW RELEASES

DAVID BLUMBERG – On&On LP (Mute)

“ON&ON” is the excellent record by the former YUCK front man Daniel Blumberg. These stark songs backed by violin, double bass & drums by Jim White of DIRTY THREE have an honesty & effortlessness to them that is difficult to achieve in our opinion. This makes us think of Jason Molina, Jeff Buckley & David Berman who was a mentor to Blumberg while making the record. RECOMMENDED.

JOHN CARPENTER – Skeleton 12” (Sacred Bones)

The horror master John Carpenter returns with his first new, non-soundtrack music since 2016. “Skeleton” is an updated track in the style that you love with a slight techno vibe & some gritty guitar from Daniel Davies. EXCELLENT STUFF OF COURSE.

JESSY LANZA – All The Time LP/CD (Hyperdub) limited pink vinyl

Following up 2016’s “Oh No”, Canadian singer/producer JESSY LANZA further dives into playful, house-inspired pop. There’s a tension between the bright bounce of this music and the bracing anger of a dissolving future brought on by the 2020 pandemic, and this can at times sound like CARIBOU or MORGAN GEIST, with whom she’s worked with in the past. “All The Time” is a step into more pure pop, but the acid R&B is still very present.

THE MICROPHONES – MICROPHONES IN 2020 LP/CD (P.W. Elverum & Sun)

If you’ve been following Phil Elverum’s life over the past few years then you know he’s been through a lot. But now deep in 2020, we’ve ALL been through a lot & this record might help some of us deal with that. Elverum has re-started his adored MICROPHONES project with a 45 minute song. It starts with an acoustic riff that repeats for almost 8 minutes before he gets to singing. The song is like a short story about his life as a musician or a lengthy journal entry. Drums, distorted bass & guitar, piano, drones & various other instruments come in & out but mostly the song is based around the same acoustic riff. Lengthy conceptual songs like this can go very wrong but this definitely works. RECOMMENDED.

BRETT NAUCKE – EMS Hallucinations LP (American Dreams)

The always reliable Chicago based experimental musician Brett Naucke recorded these pieces at his residency at the famed Stockholm Elektromusikstudion in 2019. Recorded on the legendary Buchla 200 series Analog synthesizer, Naucke has done a fantastic job of creating a heavy, electronic space for us to lose ourselves in during pandemic times.

ANGEL OLSEN – Whole New Mess LP/CD/TAPE limited “clear smoke” with free 7” while supplies last or black vinyl

Though this might seem like a pandemic record, This record of stripped down versions of the “All Mirrors” songs was originally recorded at Phil Everum’s (MICROPHONES/MT. EERIE) Unknown studio in Washington back in 2018. These versions were originally intended to be released side by side with “All Mirrors” but it sort of makes sense now that she decided to hold them back. Recently the Chicago ex-pat has discussed in interviews that she’s backing away from some of the more visible aspects of being a “rock star” so a return to her more minimal songwriting style makes sense. We’re just happy that she decided to release these amazing versions. RECOMMENDED OF COURSE!

.KELLY LEE OWENS – Inner Song LP/CD limited white or black vinyl“Inner Song” is the 2nd album from the London based musician Kelly Lee Owens. This is a nice blend of the techno production she’s become known for & some R&B tinged electronic pop mixed in.

POLE – 1 LP (Mute)

POLE – 2 LP (Mute)

POLE – 3 LP (Mute)

The now legendary first three albums by POLE are available once again!!!! These are the first vinyl reissues in almost 20 years& it’s welcome because the originals are difficult to find. These albums caused quite a stir back then with their stark, monochromatic artwork that perfectly complemented the glitchy, minimalist, dub influenced electronic music. RECOMMENDED.

Reckless Records 8/21/20 New Releases

8/21/20 NEW RELEASES

AUSCULTATION – III LP (100% Silk)

Joel Shanahan is one of the hardest working musicians out there these days & though you might know him best as GOLDEN DONNA, his work as AUSCULTATION is just as engaging. Dreamy electronics with washes of shoegazy synths & lo-fi beats that owes as much to COCTEAU TWINS as it does that 100% Silk style. RECOMMENDED.

BULLY – Sugaregg LP/CD (Sub Pop) first press loser edition on color vinyl

Alicia Bognanno & BULLY return with this really strong 3rd album. Hooks galore & crunchy guitars with Bognanno’s voice almost veering out of control. This isn’t some grunge wannabe stuff, it sounds really fresh & hearing a band rock this hard right now feels really good. RECOMMENDED.

GUIDED BY VOICES – Mirrored Aztec LP/CD (GBV)

Supposedly “Mirrored Aztec” is album #107 in Bob Pollard’s absolutely bonkers discography. This one is definitely on the rockin’ side with tons of riffs & hooks & imaginative lyrics from Bob like always. Think “Under the Bushes…”era mixed with “Who’s Next” bravado.

LESS BELLS – Mourning Jewelry LP/CD (Kranky)

The multi-instrumentalist Julie Carpenter returns with her LESS BELLS project for Kranky. This has a sort of “chamber music in the desert” vibe in our opinion, with dusty drones made of strings, arpeggiated synths, pianos & choral vocals that we think will appeal to fans of WINGED VICTORY FOR THE SULLEN, 80s TANGERINE DREAM, maestro Steve Reich etc…RECOMMENDED.

MATMOS – The Consuming Flame 3CD (Thrill Jockey)

Split across three movements (and three discs!), MATMOS brings to 2020 a high-concept project, where 99 artists were tasked to perform whatever they wished, so long as it was at a BPM of 99. These submissions were layered onto each other, creating an album less written and more imagined & curated by the Baltimore duo. Featuring the help of DANIEL LOPATIN (aka ONEOHTRIX POINT NEVER) MOTH COCK and MARISA ANDERSON – among many others – this project is hard to categorize because those who participate come from everywhere and with different levels of expertise. A thrilling and ambitious project that fits the COVID-stricken time it was made.

RED LIGHTS – Red Lights LP (In the Red)

Wow! Rare, pre-GUN CLUB material by a young Jeffrey Lee Pierce. The group only played a handful of shows & recorded one demo in 1978 which is featured here. Pierce was only 19 when he started the band but you can definitely hear glimmers of the genius that was to come. GUN CLUB fans will definitely want to check this out. INCREDIBLE!

SNEAKS – Happy Birthday LP/CD (Merge)

This fourth release for Eva Moolchan, aka SNEAKS, goes further in developing the interplay between punk, lo-fi electronica and spoken word. Moolchan still draws from the tight, minimalist punk beats of ESG, but there’s a darker, colder atmosphere that reminds us of the sonic experiments of YVES TUMOR. Big time RECOMMENDATION.

X – Alphabetland LP (Fat Possum)

Living legends X return with their first new album with the original line-up in 35 years! Anyone that’s been lucky enough to see these guys recently know that they still sound INCREDIBLE so new songs are much appreciated. The trademark dueling vocals of John Doe & Exene still sound fantastic & the energy is definitely there. Yes, there are good things happening in 2020 from time to time…

Reckless Records 8/7/20 New Releases

8/7/20 NEW RELEASES

MASAKI BATOH – Smile Jesus Loves You LP (Drag City)

The Japanese psychedelic legend Masaki Batoh is back with a playful new solo album. With help from members of his band GHOST & also FUSHITSUSHA, Batoh has created a mellow psychedelic pop album that will definitely appeal to all fans of Japanese psych & folk.

L-SEVEN – L- Seven LP (Third Man)

Third Man has delivered an excellent LP of previously unreleased material by the early 80s Detroit post-punk band L-SEVEN, not to be confused with the well known 90s group L7. Led by vocalist Larissa Stolarchuk who would later play guitar with LAUGHING HYENAS as  Larissa Strickland, L-SEVEN made rhythmic & angular post-punk that had touches of SLITS & ESSENTIAL LOGIC funkiness to it but a darker tone all around. They only released one 7″ at the time & it was the first release on the TOUCH & GO offshoot label Special Forces. RECOMMENDED!

JASON MOLINA – Eight Gates LP/CD (Secretly Canadian) limited color or black vinyl

In the mid 2000s, Jason Molina moved from the Midwest to London. He had already solidified himself as one of the best American songwriters of his generation & he started his first songs in England that would turn out to be his final recordings. Some songs seem fully formed & others are skeletons of songs, mostly acoustic based with his singing as strained & emotional as ever. It’s amazing that this exists & it’s great that we can all get to hear this now. RECOMMENDED.

BILL NACE – Both LP (Drag City)

The Philadelphia based guitarist & Thurston Moore collaborator & NO/AGE member delivers this excellent slab of guitar improvisations. Cyclical drones & dense noise that will appeal to the  more experimental side of SONIC YOUTH, early Xpressway noise like DEAD C etc…

THE STOOGES – Live at Goose Lake August 8th, 1970 (Third Man) limited edition color vinyl in alternate, silk-screened sleeve

50 years later, the final performance by the original line-up of THE STOOGES is released on vinyl. This soundboard recording is raw in exactly the ways you’d hope. There’s some video on YouTube with lesser sound quality to give you an idea of how wild it must have been. Iggy & the boys perform “Fun House” in its entirety & of course it’s totally crazed. This color vinyl edition is limited to 1000 copies & it comes in a unique, silk-screened sleeve. RECOMMENDED OF COURSE!

WASHED OUT – Purple Noon LP/CD (Sub Pop) Loser edition, first press color vinyl

Ernest Greene & his WASHED OUT Project have returned to Sub Pop for “Purple Noon.” Mellow synth pop with that beachy vibe that so many 80s records had. Think SADE, DURAN DURAN, songs playing in the background while Crockett & Tubbs are settling up on a cocainedeal in a bar on Miami Vice. Good summer tunes…

Reckless Records 7/31/20 New Releases

7/31/20 NEW RELEASES

GANSER – Just Look at That Sky LP/CD

This is the 2nd album by the excellent Chicago band GANSER. Aggressive noise rock with snarling guitars, heavy bass & vocals that remind us of the great Ari Up of THE SLITS & KAREN O. Fans of TOUCH & GO, AM REP style noise rock will dig this for sure.

OHMME – Fantasize Your Ghost LP/CD

The massively talented Chicago duo OHMME are back with their third album. Sima Cunningham & Macie Stewart are both fantastic guitarists, multi-instrumentalists & their vocal harmonies are truly impressive. Crisp & complex songs that almost veer into math rock territory at times. Fans of ST. VINCENT, THE ROCHES, TALKING HEADS, FIERY FURNACES etc… will love this. RECOMMENDED.

MIKE POLIZZE – Long Lost Solace Find LP/CD (Paradise of Bachelors) color or black vinyl

“Long Lost Solace Find” is the debut solo album by Mike Polizze of PURLING HISS & BIRDS OF MAYA. With help from buds like Kurt Vile & WAR ON DRUGS engineer Jeff Zeigler, Polizze has now made his own classic Philly record. There’s no way you can listen to a song like “Cheewawa” & not hum the melody to yourself for the rest of the day. Mellow acoustic rock that will appeal to KV, WAR ON DRUGS, Steve Gunn, AFGHAN WHIGS, & THE CHURCH will dig this. RECOMMENDED.

THE STOOGES – FUN HOUSE 15LP box set (Rhino) SORRY THESE SOLD OUT!!

Limited edition box set from one of the greatest rock records ever made. This pressing of 1,970 copies (cheeky) comes with a 2LP, 45RPM version of the classic record, the complete Fun House sessions (that was originally released on CD in the late 90s), 2 7”s, 2 posters, a book & a 45 adapter. One of the craziest box sets we’ve ever seen!!

WYE OAK – No Horizon 12” (Merge) pink vinyl

Baltimore duo WYE OAK dives further into electronics on this idiosyncratic EP, using light synth textures in tandem with a blend of electronic beats and Andy Stack’s precise drumming that can sound at times like 80s PETER GABRIEL. Jenn Wasner’s voice weaves in and out of these rhythms, supported by The BROOKLYN YOUTH CHORUS. A great, forward-thinking followup to their wonderful 2018 release “The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs”. On Merge and RECOMMENDED.

RECKLESS RECORDS 7/24/20 New Releases

7/24/20 NEW RELEASES

BELL WITCH / AERIAL RUIN – Stygian Bough Volume I LP (Profound Lore) color vinyl

“Stygian Bough” is the collaboration between giants from the Pacific Northwest, BELL WITCH & AERIAL RUIN, the solo acoustic guitar project of Erik Moggridge. The album starts off with a dark acoustic piece & then evolves into heavy, progressive doom that BELL WITCH is now famous for. The album then alternates between those two styles in a truly epic fashion. The last BELL WITCH album “Mirror Reaper” is a good touchstone for this but “Stygian Bough” takes it to a new level for sure. RECOMMENDED.

BLUES CREATION – Blues Creation LP (Audio Clarity)

Reissue of the debut album by the Japanese blues rock band BLUES CREATION. This album was originally released in 1969 & features covers of Sonny Boy Williamson, Blind Willie Johnson, Willie Dixon & more. Their take on the songs is aggressive with heavy bass guitar, intense soloing & raw vocals that put this more in STOOGES & BLUE CHEER territory than LED ZEP or THE ‘STONES. If you like your blues a little more “fried” then this is for you.

COUNT OSSIE & THE MYSTIC REVELATION OF RASTAFARI – Grounation 3LP (Dubstore)

ESSENTIAL reissue of this classic Rastafarian record by the Jamaican drummer Count Ossie. Rastafarians were considered outcasts in the 50s when Ossie was getting his start but they gradually became accepted in the music scene. In 1973 Count Ossie released this incredible album of music dedicated to the Africans that were brought to Jamaica as slaves. Heavy & repetitive percussion & a almost improvisational jazz feel, this album will appeal to fans of 70s spiritual jazz like Eddie Galem Chicago’s own Philip Cohran & even the early MOONDOG records at times. RECOMMENDED.

ELDER – Omens LP (Armageddon)

The band of U.S. ex pats now based in Berlin known as ELDER return with their 5th album. Melodic & progressive, metallic hard rock with some tasteful synth programming & soaring vocals. Fans of early MASTODON, TORCHE, BARONESS etc… will eat this up. RECOMMENDED.

GUIDED BY VOICES – Vampire on Titus LP (Scat) color vinyl

BACK IN PRINT!! Though the Dayton legends were already a few albums deep when this came out, “Vampire on Titus” was the album that started it all for them really. This has been out of print for years & it’s definitely one of the most requested GBV records. RECOMMENDED OF COURSE!

JON HASSELL – Seeing Through Sound: Pentimento Volume Two LP/CD (Ndeya)

Second volume of the “Pentimento” series from ambient and experimental trailblazer JON HASSELL following 2018’s stellar “Listening to Pictures”. The trumpet- touched raga of his early work is still present here, but this new series pays even closer attention to the electronic rhythms of modern techno and IDM, as well as drawing from German rock experimentalists like NEU! or CAN – as well as from the sonic textures of post- rock composers like GROUPER or JULIANNA BARWICK. At 83, HASSELL has not stopped pushing at the edges of what “fourth world” can mean, still bringing his listeners into thrilling sonic territory. RECOMMENDED!

PROTOMARTYR – Ultimate Success Today LP/CD (Domino) ltd. blue vinyl

Since their inception twelve years ago, Detroit’s own native sons PROTOMARTYR have always channeled the profound anguish of alienation, both interpersonal and institutional. 2017’s “Relatives In Descent” shot that alienation through the lens of American life at large, exploring the winnowing of opportunity laid bare after the 2016 election. Now, when those themes could not be more clear, PROTOMARTYR builds upon them on “Ultimate Success Today”. The band’s signature rhythmic punk and washed out crescendos continue to get larger, punchier and more poignant, supporting the weight of the lyrics with grace. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

SKELETON – Skeleton LP/CD (20 Buck Spin)

This is the debut album from the Austin, TX band SKELETON. Melodic but crushing metal that scratches so many itches for us. There are so many memorable riffs on here, tons of tempo changes & even some clean intros that would make James Hetfield blush. Things that come to mind are CRAFT’s excellent “Fuck the Universe”, later DARKTHRONE, MOTORHEAD, SLAYER etc…This is definitely going to be on our end of the year list. RECOMMENDED.

OTHER IMPORTANT NEW RELEASES
